Geneva, Switzerland-এ শিশুদের সুখস্বাচ্ছন্দ্য-র জন্য, ওয়ার্ল্ড কনফারেন্স-এর ঘোষণা অনুসারে,১৯২৫ সাল থেকে ১লা জুন তারিখটি আন্তর্জাতিক শিশু দিবস হিসাবে পরিচিত৷ শিশুদিবস বিশেষভাবে পরিবারের সাথে পালন করা হয় এবং শিশুদের জন্য পার্টি দেওয়া হয়,তাদের আনন্দ দেবার জন্য মজার কার্যকলাপ থাকে ,স্কুলে নানা অনুষ্ঠান হয়, প্রভৃতি৷
