anksiolitik
Anksiolitici su lijekovi koji se koriste za ublažavanje laganih psihičkih poremećaja, neuroza. Osim toga često se koriste i za ublažavanje posljedica stresa, napetosti, tjeskobe i sličnih poremećaja. Današnji moderni tempo života i civilizacija koja nemilosrdno nameće stres dovela je do toga da skoro i nema osobe koja nije imala siimptome određenog vida neuroze. Neuroze su psihički poremećaji gdje percepcija realnosti nije poremećena (kao u slučaju psihoza). Tu spadaju nervoze, histerične reakcije, hipohondrije, fobije, kompulzivne neuroze i anoreksija.
