Ang halaga ng anumang ipinahiyag para sa pera sa araw na iyon. Dahil sa ang pagpapalabas ng labis na pera ay nangangahulugan na ang pera ay maaaring mawala ang halaga nito sa paglipas ng panahon, ang mababang salapi ay maaaring makalinlang kapag ginamit upang ihambing ang mga halaga sa makakaibang panahon. Mas makabubuti kung ihahambing ang kanilang tunay na halaga, sa pamamagitan ng pag-urong ng mababang salapi upang tanggalin ang kabuktutan sa pagpapalabas ng labis na salapi.
