El nombre de un ciclón tropical con vientos sostenidos de 74 millas por hora (65 nudos) o más en el norte del Océano Atlántico, Mar Caribe, Golfo de México, y en el este del Océano Pacífico Norte. Este mismo ciclón tropical es conocido como un tifón en el Pacífico occidental y un ciclón en el Océano Índico.
